Where are you from?
I am originally from Bangladesh. I come from a muslim family. I live in Dorchester.
What school do you attend?
I will be attending Simmons College in the fall of 218. It’s a women’s centered college. I look forward to witnessing women empowering the world.
What are your hobbies and interests?
My hobbies are going on adventure, travel, and dance. Adventures helps me discovering how far from my comfort zone I can go. Travel helps me explore myself. Dance helps me express myself without any needs of words.
How long have you been involved with Branching Out?
This is my first year working for Branching Out. I have been working for National Park Service for a long time. This is my third year working for NPS and I look forward to working with them for many more years.
Why did you choose to participate in Branching Out?
I want to explore different roles that plays big time for NPS. I wanted to see how this position helps the NPS. I worked with kids to different islands, did visitor service and now more of ground work. I am excited.
What are your career or educational goals?
I want to finish college with a pre-med track. Later, I want to go to one of the best medical school, and successfully become a doctor.
What are you looking forward to during the Branching Out program this summer?
To explore the undiscovered part of me. To preserve the NPS to my best ability. To learn new things.
What types of opportunities will Branching Out provide you with?
It will give more connections. School year-long program. Polish new skills.
