Tell us which Stone Pathway you like!

On February 13, 2018 we had a meeting with Ruth Raphael, Landscape Architect in National Parks of Boston, about the stone pathway in the Charlestown Navy Yard to show Ruth two different type of stepping stone pathway. We showed Ruth how they will look in the garden. We also showed Ruth two videos that we found about how to lay out the two stepping stone pathway. We also told Ruth we don’t want the stone pathway to look historic. Our next step is to make a survey about the two different types of stepping stone pathways to see what you guys think about the two different types of stepping stone pathway.

Which of the two stone pathways you guys think will look better and less historic in the garden?   Please comment to vote!

  1. I like the more irregular, stepping stone one, I don’t think either look historic because you did not match the old brick, so they both work on that count. If the irregular one were constructed with thick field stone pieces that could be set into the earth, that would look better to me than thin flag stone pieces sitting on the surface. Thanks for asking!
